What is the Best Web Browser Extension for Anonymous Browsing?

 

People who live in countries of oppressive regimes often live behind firewalls preventing them from accessing many Internet sites.  Web proxies can help them circumvent these firewall rules.  However, peer-to-peer solutions may be harder for firewalls to block given the multitude of potential IP addresses.

Advantages:

Allows only "trusted" friend network to proxy connections.1

No single point of failure in the network?

Advantages:

Allows users in firewalled / oppressed regions connect to any other user to proxy temporarily.  No single point of failure in the network.

Advantages:

User can select which pages to be proxied.

Disadvantages:

Currently under development / beta testing.

Disadvantages:

Untrusted / malicious web browsing could go through another users connection, but has to come from firewalled sources. [can anyone verify?]

Disadvantages:

Uses set of known proxy servers which could be blocked by firewalls.  Many of the proxies in the current list are now invalid.
